Meet Your Coach: Why I Train Clients 1-on-1 and Remote

Boston Adams 5 min read

Hi, I’m Boston Adams — the coach behind Ally Fitness. If you’re weighing online coaching, you probably want to know who’d actually be in your corner. So here’s the short version of who I am and why I built my coaching the way I did. (Knowing your specific coach is one of the green flags in how to choose an online personal trainer — so here’s me.)

Fitness has always been my thing

I’ve been an athlete my whole life — football and track — and training has always been more than exercise for me. It’s how I stay grounded when life gets heavy. Somewhere along the way I realized the part I loved most wasn’t my own workouts; it was helping someone else get where they wanted to go. Reaching a goal with someone — watching it finally click for them — never gets old. That’s the whole reason Ally Fitness exists.

Why 1-on-1, and why remote

I could’ve gone the route of selling cookie-cutter plans to as many people as possible. I didn’t, because that’s not coaching. I work with people one-on-one because your program should be built for you — your goals, your body, your equipment, your week. And I coach remotely on purpose: it lets me work with you wherever you are, on your schedule, for a price that actually makes sense compared to paying gym rates per session. You get real expertise and real attention without the commute or the markup.

How I think about your training

My philosophy comes down to one line: your life doesn’t revolve around my program — my program revolves around your life. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, so everything I build is grounded in real exercise science, not fads. But credentials are just the starting point. What I actually care about is making your life better — helping you get stronger, leaner, healthier, and more capable in the things that matter to you. I also bring an analytics background (I’m finishing a double major in Analytics and Management at the University of Denver), which means I’m organized and I track what actually moves the needle. (Want to confirm the credential for yourself? Here’s how to verify any trainer’s certification in 2 minutes.)

Who I love working with

Honestly, it’s not a “type.” I’ve helped people lose significant weight, train around injuries, build muscle, get more athletic, and build strength that lasts. The common thread is simple: an openness to do the work. If you’ve got that, I’m all in with you.

Let’s talk

When I’m not coaching, I’m usually training, cheering on the Broncos, or hanging out with my dogs. And I’m always happy to talk with someone who’s ready to take their health seriously.
