Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might be wondering about online coaching with Ally Fitness — how it works, what it costs, and how to get started. Still have a question? Just ask on your free consult →

How does online personal training work?
It's simple. After a free consultation, I build you a custom training program around your goals, your equipment, and your schedule — programmed a full month at a time. Each week we get on a check-in call to review your progress, adjust your plan, and keep you accountable, and you can message me between calls. You train on your own schedule, wherever you are, with a real coach guiding the whole way.
Does online personal training actually work?
Yes — for the vast majority of goals (fat loss, building muscle, getting stronger, longevity), online coaching works as well as in-person, because what drives results is the quality of your program, your accountability, and your consistency — none of which require a trainer standing next to you. I review your form on video and keep you accountable with weekly calls, so you get expert guidance with more flexibility.
Do I need a gym or special equipment?
No. I build your program around whatever you have — a full gym, an apartment gym, or just a pair of dumbbells at home. We make it work with your setup.
How much does coaching cost?
Coaching is $350 for your first month (which includes your full onboarding and initial program build), then $300 per month after that. It's month-to-month with no long-term contract, and it includes your custom program, weekly check-in calls, nutrition guidance, and messaging access.
What does "NASM-certified" mean?
NASM (the National Academy of Sports Medicine) is one of the most respected personal-training certifications in the industry. It means I've studied and passed an exam covering exercise science, program design, assessment, and safety, so your program is grounded in real science — not guesswork. You're welcome to verify my certification anytime.
Is nutrition included?
Yes. Nutrition guidance is built into your coaching — not sold as an add-on. We'll work on an approach you can actually live with to support your goals.
Who do you work with?
All kinds of people — folks losing fat, building muscle, getting stronger, training around injuries, improving athletic performance, and staying strong and capable as they age (including clients over 40). The common thread is simply an openness to put in the work. If that's you, we'll get along great.
Where are you located, and can you train me if I'm not in Denver?
I'm based in the Denver, Colorado area, and because coaching is fully online, I work with clients across Colorado and the U.S. Wherever you are, you get the same 1-on-1 coaching.
How quickly will I see results?
It depends on your starting point, your goals, and your consistency — but most people start feeling better and noticing progress within the first several weeks, with bigger changes building over the months that follow. I focus on sustainable progress that lasts, not quick fixes that don't.
What if I want to cancel?
Coaching is month-to-month with no long-term contract, so you're never locked in. Just let me know before your next billing date.
